Rubbish Removal in Kensington

A Kensington collection is rarely just a question of how many bags there are. Shared entrances, upper floors, basement rooms and managed loading all shape the job. We collect agreed items from inside and plan the carry before the vehicle arrives.

Start with the route

Show us what has to leave — and how it gets out.

Behind similar Kensington façades are very different collection routes. A modern apartment may have a bookable service lift and reception desk. A converted period property may rely on tight internal stairs. A townhouse clear-out can involve several floors, a lower-ground kitchen and a long carry to the street. The most useful enquiry describes the load and the route with equal care.

Send one wide photograph for each collection area, then add close views of dense bags, appliances and bulky pieces. State the floor, lift availability and where the vehicle could realistically load. If a porter, concierge or managing agent controls access, arrange the appropriate window before booking.

Common Kensington jobs

Different properties create different work.

01

Mansion-block flat

Furniture, boxed possessions and bagged household waste carried through a managed communal route. Tell us about lift booking, floor protection and any restricted working period.

02

Townhouse clear-out

Items spread between bedrooms, reception rooms, storage cupboards and a basement. Mark what stays and count the separate collection points.

03

Refurbishment handover

Freestanding furniture and declared non-hazardous project waste kept apart so weight, loading and disposal requirements can be assessed properly.

Bulky furniture

A doorway measurement can save a wasted journey.

Sofas, bed frames, wardrobes and large tables need more than a label saying “furniture”. Give approximate dimensions and photograph the narrowest turn on the route. If a piece was assembled inside the room, say so. Safe dismantling may be possible when agreed beforehand, but it is not automatically included and cannot be assumed for every construction.

Keep personal belongings out of drawers and cupboards. If the collection forms part of a move, label items that are staying so there is no ambiguity. A dedicated furniture disposal booking may suit a few bulky pieces; a wider house clearance is more appropriate when several rooms are involved.

Paint, solvents, gas cylinders, asbestos, clinical waste, unknown liquids and other restricted materials must be identified separately. Do not hide them inside general bags.

On collection day

Keep the communal route usable.

Move small personal items away from the carrying path, but do not stack heavy waste into an unstable pile. Confirm keys and lift access, and make sure neighbours can still use shared doors and corridors. If the quantity has changed since the photographs were sent, provide an updated view before the team travels.

The crew checks the presented load, confirms the final quote and begins loading only after approval. The immediate cleared area can be swept where practical; deep cleaning, repairs and removal of fixed fittings are separate tasks.

Final pricing depends on volume, weight, waste type, crew time, access, vehicle position and applicable supplementary charges. Dense renovation material can reach a weight limit before it fills the quoted vehicle space. The team compares the actual load with the description before confirming the final amount.

Commercial collections

Keep office contents separate from project debris.

Desks, chairs, boxed equipment and reusable fittings should be listed independently from dense renovation material. That distinction helps the crew judge weight, handling and the appropriate onward route. Confirm the service entrance or loading arrangement with the building contact before attendance.

Kensington questions

Before you book.

Can you collect from a flat when the lift must be reserved?

Yes, provided the arrangement is confirmed for the collection window. Tell us the lift size, floor and building contact, and explain the alternative route if the lift becomes unavailable.

Should furniture be left in the communal hallway?

No. Keep shared corridors and fire routes clear. The team can collect agreed items from inside the flat when safe access has been described.

Can you remove items from a basement room?

Usually, subject to safe stairs and handling. Photographs of the steps, door and outside route help us plan crew time and judge bulky pieces.

What happens if the load is larger than the photographs?

The scope and price may need to be revised. Send new images before attendance whenever another room, furniture item or group of bags is added.

Do you disconnect appliances?

No plumbing or electrical disconnection should be assumed. Arrange safe disconnection first, then identify the appliance, dimensions and route.

Can a collection take place without me?

It may be possible with authorised access, clearly marked items and a reachable person who can approve the final quote. Confirm the arrangement when booking.
