Managed apartment
Furniture, boxed possessions and household bags collected without blocking the lobby or resident route.
Apartments, offices and discreet collections
Mayfair clearances often take place in buildings where the collection must fit around residents, staff, deliveries and a tightly managed entrance. We collect agreed items from inside, but the route and the loading arrangement need to be understood before the vehicle arrives.

Local planning
A small pile in a Mayfair apartment can involve more handling than a larger load elsewhere. Furniture may have to pass through a staffed lobby, travel in a protected lift and be carried to a vehicle that cannot wait beside the nearest door. Offices and retail premises may have a service route that is separate from the customer entrance. Tell us which route is authorised, who controls it and when it can be used.
Photograph every collection point rather than moving everything into a communal corridor. Give dimensions for large furniture, identify dense bags and mention anything located below ground. If a building manager requires notice, lift protection or a particular loading window, arrange it before confirming the collection.
Common situations
Furniture, boxed possessions and household bags collected without blocking the lobby or resident route.
Desks, task chairs, storage and non-confidential contents removed through an agreed service entrance.
Freestanding display pieces, packaging and accepted fit-out material kept separate and clearly listed.

Property access
The vehicle position may be around a corner or beyond a controlled bay even when the entrance is easy to find. Describe the outside carry and confirm current restrictions from signs or the responsible building contact. A concierge can provide access but cannot always authorise loading, so establish who is responsible for each part of the route.
Inside the property, remove personal papers and valuables from furniture. Mark items that are staying. If a wardrobe, table or shelving unit cannot pass assembled, send measurements and ask about agreed dismantling before attendance. Fixed joinery, electrical disconnection and plumbing work require the appropriate trade and are not assumed collection tasks.
Material check
An office chair, flattened packaging and a bag of general contents use vehicle space differently from tiles, sanitaryware or dense project debris. List those groups separately and show them in clear photographs. This helps the team consider weight, lifting and onward handling rather than judging everything by an approximate room size.
Unknown liquids, paint, solvents, gas cylinders, asbestos, clinical waste and other restricted material must be declared. Keep them apart from ordinary bags. For a furniture-only booking use our furniture disposal service; for business premises compare office clearance and commercial waste collection.
| Collection detail | Why it matters | What to send |
|---|---|---|
| Full load | Sets volume and vehicle space | Wide current photographs |
| Dense material | Weight may limit capacity | Contents and bag count |
| Bulky pieces | Changes handling and route | Dimensions and door turns |
| Access | Affects labour and timing | Floor, stairs, lift and carry |
Collection sequence
Send recent photographs and an item list, then add floor, lift, keys and vehicle-position details. We use that information to plan the crew and provide a guide estimate. On arrival, the presented load is checked against the description. The final quote is confirmed before anything is loaded.
Keep the carrying route clear, but do not stage waste in a lobby, on a pavement or beside a fire exit. If more items are added or the authorised route changes, update the team beforehand. After accepted material is removed, a practical sweep of the immediate cleared area may be possible; deep cleaning and repairs are separate services.

These are guide prices. The final quote depends on volume, weight, waste type, access, labour, vehicle position and applicable supplementary charges. It is confirmed before loading.
Mayfair questions
Often, when the building has an authorised service entrance. Confirm the route, access contact and permitted time before booking.
It may be possible with authorised entry, clearly identified items and a reachable person who can approve the final quote.
Same-day slots depend on crew availability and whether access and loading can be arranged at short notice. Managed buildings may require more preparation.
Only when dismantling has been discussed, judged safe and included in the scope. Send dimensions and route photographs first.
Remove confidential and personal documents before the collection. Do not place them inside cabinets that are being taken away.
Volume, weight, material type, carrying time, stairs or lifts, vehicle position and applicable supplementary charges all affect the final figure.
